Today I went there for lunch options and saw 4 thalis being introduced. I have tried their snacks and biryanis but never tried thali here.So I ordered for special non veg thali for me ..packed to go… which cost me around 13$ without taxes. At home when I opened the packed thali, I was so disappointed. The portions are too less. Rice was okay for me as i don’t eat rice that much and there were three types of rice … plain rice, lemon rice which was too sour, curd rice taste was just okay. Between poori and phulka I chose poori , but the poori was not well fried so it tasted bad. There was one aloo curry which was so bad, one rasam which was just sour water with no flavours at all , 1 chutney which was below average, 1/4 size papad. and 1 small piece of chicken with little gravy and quite average taste . There were two items one is kesari bhat and another kadi which were good.So in this whole So-called “Special Non-Veg Thali” there was only 1 tiny chicken piece with all other below average curries , rasam and chutney .Mind you all those curries were packed in chutney size boxes (they give there peanut chutney in those boxes). Given an option I would have given them 0 star ⭐️ for this meal.👎👎👎👎👎 They are literally fooling customers.The taste, portions, quality is not at all worth the price they are charging. If you’re packing your meal , check it properly before leaving this place.I would never recommend this place if you want to eat a thali for meal.I would rather suggest go to another restaurant if you want to eat a proper nice thali . There are many good places nearby. Highly Disappointed 👎👎👎👎

This is a Fantastic Indian Grocery Store with Great Variety! The Swadeshi Plaza in Irving is my go-to Indian grocery store! They have an impressive selection of fresh produce, Indian spices, snacks, and frozen foods. The aisles are well-stocked with everything from traditional dals and flours to hard-to-find regional ingredients. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Their fresh vegetables section is particularly great, with a wide range of Indian greens, fruits, and herbs that are always fresh. The prices are reasonable, and they often have good deals on staples like rice, atta, and ghee. Another highlight is their hot food section if you’re craving fresh samosas, chaat, or sweets, this is the place to be! The staff is helpful and polite, always ready to assist if you need help finding something. Overall, Swadeshi Plaza is a fantastic shopping destination for anyone looking for authentic Indian groceries in the DFW area.

Tried special veg thali. Overall items are more in number but the quantity of each item is less than average. Quality is good overall. Because of a good quantity of plain rice and flavored rice, it was a big meal. Recommended. 2 veg curries - good 1 mild dry veg masala - very good Kheer as sweet - very good Flavored rice - very good Dal - very good Rasam - ok Kadhi and curd - good Samosa and chutney - good Poori and papad - ok

Tried Chicken Biryani, paneer biryani and dosa Both biryani were terrible. They gave us pula v instead, then they tasted stale. Chicken was dry and very salty.

I like the food at the diner behind the grocery store! They renovated in 2024 and there are much more seat! Mutton fry, thali, masala dosa, garlic nann, pani puri are my favorites! I took my group there for brunch once and it was fun! Definitely a hidden gem in Irving!
